River Clean Up Birthday Challenge

fairandfunky are celebrating their 6th birthday with a river clean up challenge. They'll be clearing paths and the water's edge (where it's safe) of rubbish and invasive plants.  Wear suitable clothing and sturdy footwear, and snacks to keep you going!

Trout in the Town Walk and Talk

Join Paul Gaskell for his "Trout in Town" walk and talk. A “walk and talk” scheduled for approximately 2 and a half hours, starting at 11am (meeting point to be confirmed).  Along the way we will look at examples of good habitat and also how some of the not-so-good habitat is impacting the recovering, post-industrial River Holme.  We will also examine some of the aquatic invertebrate life present in the river and discuss some ways that conditions could be protected…
